WEIGHTLESS SKYSCRAPER

COMPETITIVE OFFER | 2018

DUBAI, UAE

The project of the lightest skyscraper in the world "WEIGHTLESS SKYSCRAPER" is unique:
The approximate area of the submitted project is 600,000 sq.m. at an altitude of 800 meters (can be changed according to individual customer requirements)
  • The construction cost is 2 times less than the construction of a conventional skyscraper (the entire weight of the building is 3 times lighter).

  • Ensuring the energy self-sufficiency of the facility.

  • Special tax conditions (depends on location, legislation).
Construction features
The "universal" WS design assumes "flexible development" - a content with variable functionality in accordance with current and strategic financial and social needs.

The reuse of decommissioned supertankers as "foundations" allows for a 90% reduction in the cost of zero-cycle operations in the construction region.

The use of a cantilever structure reduces the building's own weight by 3 times compared to the comparable height and floor area (made of reinforced concrete in the "traditional" way).
Due to the "floating foundations", the building can be located anywhere in the world.

For the "WEIGHTLESS SKYSCRAPER", a mast-type construction was used, which maximizes the weight of the building and provides new design opportunities.
  1. Lakihegy radio tower (Hungary, Budapest, 1933). The height is 314 m, the width of the structure is from 0.65 m and reaches 14.65 m.
  2. The traditional construction of the steel mast of the power line. At a height of 300 m, the base is 60 x 60 m
  3. Rameswaram TV Tower (India) is a free-standing concrete tower. Height 323 m, base diameter 24 m
Facade structures
Facade structures: Teflon membrane canopy with wear-resistant acrylic window spheres without the use of aluminum and glass.

The spiral cornice made of photovoltaic batteries is both a sun protection and a cable channel for low-current systems, outdoor lighting of the building, and fire extinguishing systems.

The ceilings are designed according to a cable-stayed scheme with a central hollow ring - "sleeve" without internal supports, forming a common open space on all floors.
The facade is a flexible composite membrane with integrated spherical windows.

Eco-orientation
To make the surrounding fauna feel comfortable, it is proposed to use a special material in facade solutions - laminated glass, as well as a special ANR (Active Noise Reduction) noise reduction system.
When marine mammals jump out of the water in a photo or video, it seems to us that dolphins are glad of our presence.

In fact, this pack is trying to drive this boat away from its location.
The fact is that marine mammals navigate underwater using their hearing. Due to the noise produced by ships and equipment, animals lose their orientation.
Energy efficiency
The project provides for the use of various alternative energy sources, such as wave generators and solar panels. The latter directly supply electricity to the grid. These technologies can be used to cool servers and transfer energy.
