THE BASIC IDEA

We drape the interiors of the Central Exhibition Hall of Manege, hiding the architectural details of the building and creating a neutral background for sculptures and video projections.

The sculptural podiums are made from lightweight cinder blocks covered in a "heavy" fabric. Cinder block structures have the advantage of being easy to assemble, not requiring wet processes, and being fire resistant. They create a parametric space that can be dissolved into the vast interior, where the color of fabric matches the floor and walls to create a seamless effect.
